1. Is Ember Explorers a Non-Profit Organization?
No, Ember Explorers is a For-Profit Corporation. We are run by a team of Director's who are dedicated to our Montessori-inspired journey.
2. Why choose Ember Explorers?
Ember Explorers is a unique and innovative Centre which provides the children with a space that they can explore all areas of development. They can learn through play and experience meaningful designed provocations to provide the children with the prep they need for Kindergarten.
3. Are parents required to volunteer?
No, parents are not needed to provide volunteer throughout the year. We will have Fundraising opportunities to help raise money for field trips and special events. For these Fundraisers, we will ask that each family assists to help our program. There will be opportunities on field trips for families to offer to volunteer. Staff will be able to provide this information at the time.
4. Will there be a Summer Program for July/August?
Yes, our Centre will be creating a weekly/monthly/2 month option for our themed Summer Program. Once it is booked and has been programmed, we will be updating with registration information and waitlists.
5. Can families come and see the Centre?
Yes, we encourage all families to come and take a tour of the Centre before their child starts. These tours need to be booked with the Executive Director and team. There will be an open house before opening date. Date and times will be updated closer too.
6. Do you have a designated yard space?
No, for start-up our Centre does not have a designated yard space. We are in conversation with some near by lots to renovate into a fenced play space for all of the children to enjoy. Once we have an expected date, we will update our families and community. Our goal will be to have it in progress for Spring 2026 and to be available for Summer 2026.
